- The night before the operation, remove the hair on the scrotum and base of the penis completely with a
razor. If there is hair hanging down across the scrotum then trim that with scissors. See the picture.
- Do not take aspirin for one week before prior to the operation.
- On the morning of the operation, take a shower and wash the pubic area (penis, scrotum, top of legs)
thoroughly with soap.
- Bring supportive jockey (undies) underwear with you to the operation (not boxer shorts)
- Please eat your normal meals before coming to the operation.
- Paracetamol (Panadol) and over the counter NSAIDs such as Ibuprofen (Nurofen) or Diclofenac
(Voltaren) are safe to use for pain relief.
- Have an ice pack or some frozen peas at home available for the day of the procedure.
